Who This Game Is For

Love weaving through bullet curtains

Threading through enemy fire while landing your own attacks — the tension is quintessential Touhou. Vampire Survivors-style mass combat gets layered with bullet hell density, creating a feel that's uniquely its own.

Enjoy different strategies each run

Roguelite progression changes your upgrades and how things unfold every playthrough. "What build should I try this time?" keeps the trial-and-error loop going naturally.

Crave the payoff of taking down a boss

Eroded Gensokyo girls appear as bosses with their own bullet patterns. The Armor Break system means victory isn't just about surviving — it's about reading the enemy and exploiting their weak points.

A fan of Touhou's world and characters

Set in Gensokyo with familiar characters now under a dark original "Erosion" lore. If you know the source material, seeing how each girl has been transformed adds another layer of engagement.

Might Not Be for You

  • Players who struggle with bullet hell or high-difficulty action (enemy fire density is high; there's a learning curve)
  • Players looking for a story-heavy experience (action-first design; text is minimal)
  • Players with no Touhou background (familiarity helps, though the game stands on its own)

Overview

Touhou Erosion is a bullet hell × roguelite survivor set in Gensokyo.

A mysterious wave of "Erosion" has swept across the land, transforming familiar girls — Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya — into red-eyed predators. You fight through them one by one, working to break the Erosion's hold.

Bullet hell action meets roguelite build-crafting: each run lets you choose different upgrade paths for a fresh experience every time. The signature Armor Break system adds a tactical layer — simply shooting isn't always enough. You'll need to shatter a boss's armor before you can deal serious damage. Your character also carries the Dimensional Barrier, which absorbs and reflects enemy bullets, turning defense into offense.

What Makes It Worth Playing

💥 A Genuine Hybrid of Bullet Hell and Survivor

Touhou's bullet curtain DNA plus the "outlast waves of enemies" feel of Vampire Survivors — these two don't just coexist here, they reinforce each other.

Your character grows stronger with each upgrade choice, and a well-built run turns the bullet-dense chaos into something manageable — even satisfying. The "somehow pulled through" feeling after a close call is exactly what pulls you back for another run.

🛡️ Armor Break Adds Real Tactical Depth

Bosses come with an Armor layer that resists damage until you crack it.

Hit the right timing or use the right attack to break the armor, and you open a window for heavy damage. It turns each boss fight from a pure endurance test into a puzzle: "How do I break this?" The same boss plays out very differently depending on how you approach it.

✨ The Dimensional Barrier — Absorb and Reflect

Your character carries the Dimensional Barrier, a signature ability that absorbs incoming bullets up to a limit, then converts them into a counter-attack.

Landing a clean absorb-into-reflect combo feels exceptional. It shifts the game away from pure evasion and into active defense decisions — which is exactly where this game sets itself apart from other Touhou fan titles.
