Overview
Collision Course is a survival adventure where you crash-land on a planet teeming with dinosaurs, humans, and droids — and must stay alive until an asteroid destroys it all.
Your character crash-lands on a mysterious world with no clear picture of the situation. You're immediately thrown into a three-way conflict between dinosaurs, hostile humans, and droids, each following their own agendas. Stealth past them, fight your way through, gather materials and craft gear, or use environmental hazards to your advantage — survival is up to you. Earthquakes, comet strikes, and lava flows add another layer of chaos on top of a 24-hour day/night cycle. Unscripted AI means NPCs react to each other and to you, creating different scenarios every time.
The game began Early Access around 2016 and reached official v1.0 after roughly nine years of development.
Why it's fun
🦕 Unscripted AI — dinosaurs, humans, and droids all reacting to each other
The standout feature is that all three factions run on unscripted AI. They don't follow pre-set paths.
Dinosaurs hunt humans, humans compete for resources, droids pursue their own goals — and all of them react to what you do. A route that looked clear can change fast. The emergent chaos that comes from dropping a player into a world full of independently acting AI is what gives this game its identity.
🔧 Stealth, scavenging, crafting, combat — a full survival toolkit
This isn't just a "get spotted and fight" game. You can sneak around, collect materials, craft equipment, set up environmental traps — the toolkit for staying alive is wide.
The day/night cycle changes what's active and when. Natural disasters — earthquakes, comet impacts, lava — can flip the situation entirely. It's not the kind of game that tells you the right answer; it's one where you read the world and decide.
☄️ Nine years in development — now officially v1.0
There's one more angle worth mentioning: roughly nine years of development before this official release.
Crynosaurs started Early Access around 2016 and kept building. This world was made using CryEngine and refined over all that time. There's something compelling about a game that took that long to reach completion — it's worth finding out what form it finally took.
